Brown Bag Discussion Series

Learn to save money on your utilities over lunchThe Ohio Consumers’ Counsel (OCC) has developed a series of informal discussions on utility topics that could help your employees make more informed decisions. If you currently offer “brown bag” presentations to your employees or would like to begin a program series, we want to be on your schedule.

The following are examples of topics the OCC can discuss, free of charge:

  • Do-it-yourself gas and electric meter reading
  • How to avoid getting “crammed” and other scams to watch out for
  • What to know before using 10-10 numbers
  • How to choose a long-distance carrier
  • Learn how easy it is to choose a new natural gas supplier
  • How electric deregulation will affect you
  • How the Ohio Consumers’ Counsel can help you

Free speakers are available for:

Groups or organizations • Your office staff • Conference or seminar

The OCC is an advocate for residential consumers with regard to utility issues. The agency operates a toll-free hotline to provide information and help resolve consumer concerns about electric, natural gas, telephone and water.
